Sofia Vergara Inspired Makeup

I was scouting for new looks while watching the Emmys Sunday night. I really wanted to do an inspired celebrity look for my Beauty Channel on Youtube. I ultimately decided to recreate Sofia Vergara's look after contemplating between her and Heidi Klum. Both ladies looked stunning in their mermaid-esque gowns ! It was very hard to choose.. But besides Taylor Swift, I am most often told that I could be Sofia Vergara's twin. So I was hoping I could pull her look off with that to my advantage hehe Watch the video below for a step by step tutorial ! Also have a list of all the products I used with links to where you can get them :) Thanks for reading !

Lorac Pro Palette Review, Photos, & Swatches

The Lorac Pro Palette, worth $42.00 at Sephora, is an artistry palette full of matte and shimmery shades. From right to left, the top row features matte eye shadows White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, and Black. Shimmer eye shadows Nude, Champagne, Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, and Slate line the bottom row. The packing is very sleek with it's black/silver color scheme and small size. A large horizontal mirror is centered on the top half and the palette folds onto itself to close.

I wasn't expecting to pay almost $50 for a palette that so closely resembles my beloved Naked Palette from Urban Decay which I already own and use almost every day. But after swatching a few eyeshadows from the Lorac Pro Palette while "just looking" at Sephora, I was immediately sold. Each eyeshadow has this unbelievably creamy, velvety texture. I later found that these eyeshadows are infused with soothing botanicals and formulated without parabens, sulfates, or synthetic dyes/fragrances. Perfect for those with sensitive skin !

There are some eyeshadows in this palette that I love and some that I don't love so much. For example, the entire bottom row of shimmer eyeshadows are packed with intense pigmentation. They have a great color pay off when swatched and applied to the lid. My favorites from the bottom row are Gold, Pewter, and Slate. The matte top row eyeshadows are less satisfying. Cream barely shows up while the others have much less color payoff compared to the bottom row... but compared to other palettes they are great ! The bottom row is just so outstanding it makes the top row look bad :P My favorites from the top row are Taupe (for the crease) and Espresso.

A little warning : the lighter colors are lighter than expected and the darker colors are darker than expected, so be careful when applying these eyeshadows ! Also, a little goes a long way. I would recommend blending the color out a bit on the back of your hand before applying directly to the lid. As for lasting power, I haven't had an issue with these shadows fading. They don't come off until I take them off :P

Overall these creamy eyeshadows blend very well together and with shadows from other palettes. There is a great variety here with the option to choose between matte and shimmer eyeshadows. This palette will be the first you grab for both light every-day looks and heavy smokey eyes. Taupe will get the most usage out of all the shadows in the palette... it's a great crease color. Slate is the most beautiful and vibrant, pewter is a perfect smokey eye shade all over the lid, and Champagne makes the brow bone and inner corner pop.

Simple Updo for Curly Hair

I usually prefer to wear my hair straight or "curled" with a curling iron on special occasions or when I'm filming...But what you don't see are the many days I wear my hair curly. I only use heat on my hair about two times a week. The other 5 days I let my hair naturally air dry in it's wavy/curly state.

The most highly requested videos from you guys are curly hair tutorials... and I haven't made any in a long time because curly hair is so darn hard to work with ! There are many hair styles that only look good with straight hair.. This simple updo is perfect for curly hair. You get to work with the messyness rather than trying to prevent it. Curly hair looks best when it's styled a bit undone with a touch of wild :P What do you think ? The video tutorial is below, check it out !
